Brand Manager: In-House: Specialist Beverage Company – Johannesburg

We have a superb in-office job opportunity for a B2B focussed, Mid-weight Brand Manager to join the Marketing Department at a specialist beverage company in Johannesburg.

In this super role you will be responsible for implementing the Brand Strategy across corporate identity, marketing material, marketing at retail, printed collateral, digital, packaging, events and other marketing collateral that may be required.

As Brand Manager, you will need to develop good working relationships with internal departments and various suppliers.

Define the Brand

  • Formalise and define the brand
  • How the brand looks: logos, colours, artwork, packaging
  • How the brand sounds: our voice
  • What the brand stands for: our purpose.

Brand Documentation

  • Create centralised brand guidelines, documentation, and collateral for all to use when engaging with clients.
  • Ensure these are safely stored on a central server, easily accessible and always up to date.
  • Communicate updates and changes as required.

Internal Brand Engagements

  • Educate each team member on how their roles affect customer perceptions and provide guidelines on how to correctly represent the brand
  • Encourage brand adoption across all teams, constantly driving the importance of the brand.

Brand Growth & Campaigns

  • Grow the brand through managing effective campaigns aligned to the brand strategy and business objectives
  • Write concise briefs to ensure campaigns are successfully implemented and provide debriefs on completion.

Digital Campaigns

  • Work with digital agency to develop campaigns aligning to objectives and brand CI requirements.


  • Plan, organise and manage events and tastings ensuring they are fully aligned to set brand standards.

Budget Management

  • Plan, monitor, manage and report back on all marketing spend in line with approved budgets.

Market Analysis

  • Keep up to date on market trends, understand what our competitors are doing and provide feedback to the teams as well as to identify opportunities and refine brand strategies.

Product Innovation

  • Collaborate with product teams to introduce new offerings that resonate with consumers and reinforce brand identity, leveraging insights from social media platforms.


The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Marketing Related Degree/Diploma
  • 5 years B2B Marketing experience
  • High level project and time management skills
  • Excellent writing skills and a good understanding of numbers
  • Detail oriented
  • A leader – a giver not a taker
  • Extrovert, brings people together
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-Mail, Cloud
  • Passionate, energetic, and driven.
