Community Manager: Hot Communications Agency – Remote in Cape Town/Johannesburg

We have a fabulous job opportunity for a junior Community Manager at a hot, leading communications agency to work remotely, but based in either Cape Town or Johannesburg (ideally Cape Town). The Community Manager will be responsible for the management of client and brand social media presence by supporting communications on various social platforms. In this exciting role as Community Manager, you will ensure that content published is aligned to brand guidelines and overall communication style and tone.  The successful candidate will be responsible for all paid (FB and Google) campaign management, social media and direct customer or service communication on a variety of accounts. You will act as the face and voice of the agency’s clients’ brands and will manage all community communications, social media, and content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop trusted and excellent client and customer relationships and offer service excellence and high quality, innovative and excellent work
  • Attendance of internal and external meetings, reporting, monitoring and provision of suggestions and information to Client and Senior Leadership team
  • Set, plan, schedule, upload and implement social media and communication campaigns and strategies
  • Content planning
  • Provide engaging text, image and content for all social media and accounts
  • Respond to clients and customers in a prompt, courteous and timeous manner
  • Monitor, track and report on feedback and online reviews
  • Liaise with Digital and Integrated Team
  • Stay up to date with digital technology trends.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in related Digital, PR and Communications field
  • 2+ years in work experience as a community manager or similar role
  • Experience in social media
  • Well developed self awareness, emotional intelligence & evidence of personal growth
  • Experience with Apple Mac, G Suite , MS Office, Chase Software
  • Excellent verbal, written and spoken English skills
  • An ability to visualise the bigger picture, think strategically, push the boundaries, problem solve, collaborate and apply creative, lateral and design thinking skills and solutions
