We have a beautiful hybrid opportunity for a Mid-Weight Content Manager to lead the content strategy and execution for a dynamic commercial interior design company’s Cape Town office.

Please note:
This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in-office.
Preference for Cape Town but would consider a candidate in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a content calendar aligned with marketing campaigns, product launches, and business goals.
- Create, edit, and publish engaging content for websites, blogs, social media, email newsletters, and other digital channels.
- Management of social media platforms – organic
- Collaborate with designers, videographers, marketers, and external contributors to produce multimedia content.
- Ensure all content is consistent in tone, style, and messaging across platforms and adheres to brand guidelines.
- Monitor content performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and CRM dashboards, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Optimise content for SEO using best practices, including keyword research, meta descriptions, and internal linking.
- Manage and update website content regularly through a CMS (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, or similar).
- Oversee freelance writers, content creators, or agencies as needed.
- Stay updated with industry trends, platform algorithm changes, and emerging content formats.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Ideally 5-7 years’ proven work experience as a Content Manager, Copywriter, or similar role.
- Experience working in a digital marketing agency or in-house marketing team.
- Understanding of UX writing and content design principles.
- Knowledge of paid media content strategies (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Video scriptwriting or basic video editing skills.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to grammar and tone.
- Experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Wix, or Webflow).
- Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Yoast), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and social media platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Able to generate content in InDesign/Canva – and animations skills would be beneficial
- Basic knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
