We have a terrifically exciting job opportunity for a mid to senior Digital Marketing Technology Specialist at a renowned financial services company’s Cape Town head office. We’re looking for a dynamic individual to join their Marketing team. This is a new role, designed to marry the Marketing function with the range of new and evolving marketing technologies. The ideal candidate is equal parts Marketing Technology Specialist and Integrated Marketing Expert. In this role you’ll be accountable for the management and optimisation of marketing technologies deployed in support of the company’s business strategy. The successful candidate will work alongside interesting, passionate people and have the chance to be a part of challenging projects in a multicultural, stimulating environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the strategic and technical relationship with marketing technology suppliers and partners
  • Define and agree roles and responsibilities (internal and external e.g. agency)
  • Drive training, adoption and support,
  • Ensure best practice usage and implementation
  • Support business needs and strategy
  • Liaise into varying IT functions, translating marketing requirements into IT requests
  • Ensure enforcement of IT, Compliance and data governance policies
  • Understand how systems and data could interconnect and drive integration with other applications and systems
  • Drive marketing technology strategy and development
  • Ongoing research of marketing technology products and trends
  • Ongoing alignment with business and marketing strategies to identify gaps and opportunities that inform the marketing technology strategy
  • Drive the compilation of detailed business requirements
  • Assess business requirements, recommend and drive the implementation of new applications or the extended use of existing applications and contribute to change management
  • Current and envisaged marketing technology applications support content management, marketing automation, digital marketing, tagging and tracking, CRM and experience management.

Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Business and/or Marketing
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a digital marketing environment, with a focus on the technical and functional aspects of relevant MarTech applications
  • A sound Digital background from either a Digital Agency or Digital experience client side
  • Financial/Insurance industry experience
  • Google Marketing Platform – Analytics 360, Tag manager 360, Campaign Manager (formerly DoubleClick), Display and video 360, Search ads 360 (AdWords, Bing, Yahoo), Optimise – Expert level
  • Integrated messaging or marketing automation application (e.g. Marketo, Everlytic, Adobe, Fresh) – Expert level
  • IT integration – Expert level
  • Content and workflow management platform (e.g. Percolate) – Expert level
  • Proficient in form and data collection tool (e.g. Formstack)
  • Proficient in web creation tool (e.g. SharePoint, WordPress)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficient in HTML
  • Proficient in SQL or similar
  • Understanding of core marketing and sales technologies e.g. CRM and Leads systems
  • Marketing technology management and administration
  • Firm grasp and understanding of Marketing disciplines and processes (e.g. SEO, paid search, social media, paid media, email marketing, lead generation, database management, website optimisation, customer and audience segmentation)
  • Expert understanding of digital marketing platforms, channels, mediums
  • Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge
  • Ability to analyse data and report user friendly findings
