JUNIOR TO MID-WEIGHT ATL/DIGITAL COPYWRITER
Advertising (Integrated), Copywriter – Creative (Integrated)

We have an exciting hybrid opening on our books for a talented Junior to Mid-weight ATL and Digital Copywriter at a thriving full service, integrated advertising agency based in Cape Town.
In this role you will be responsible for creating effective, impactful and compelling creative on some well-loved South African brands in the Retail and Alcohol sectors.
We’re looking for a passionate and driven creative with ad agency experience to take these brands to the next level. Are you the superstar we’re looking for?
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Relevant Degree/Diploma in Copywriting is a bonus
- Copywriting experience or can demonstrate an ability to think and write creatively
- Relevant work experience as a Copywriter in an advertising agency (a television, radio and/or social portfolio is required)
- Solid knowledge/understanding of digital platforms in conjunction with more traditional channels
- Solid working knowledge and understanding of social content essential.
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM, AdWords, Analytics and Reporting would be a plus.
- Agency experience
- Knowledge of writing for TV, radio and social platforms preferable
- Able to work across various target markets, platforms and channels
- Willing to learn and understand retail brands
- Keeps a cool head and delivers exceptional results under pressure, against fast and tight deadlines and in volume
- Able to work collaboratively in a team and is resourceful; focused and level-headed
- Must be Cape Town based and willing to work in office as well as from home
- Can translate a brief and the strategic requirements into a compelling creative solution
- Together with an Art Director, can generate effective creative concepts for individual adverts or campaigns based on sound strategies and insights.
