Marketing & Communications internship alert! We have a terrific, on-site one-year graduate programme contract opportunity for an enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Graduate at a young financial services company in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs. Our client is looking for a candidate who has already completed an internship of 6 to 12 months.
 
This professional, growing company is on the hunt for a detail-oriented and dedicated Marketing & Communications Graduate to join their team and contribute to the company’s ongoing success.
 
Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the successful candidate will assist in the planning and executing of events, ensuring brand guidelines are successfully executed and upheld across all brand materials, and assist with Copywriting across various mediums. Experience in the financial industry is a bonus for this role.

Responsibilities
 
    • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across various channels
    • Setting up and hosting webinars
    • Editing presentations, client-facing documents and ensuring the brand is implemented consistently across the board
    • Support the planning and execution of events, including logistics, coordination, and on-site management
    • Create engaging content for social media, websites, newsletters, and other marketing materials
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives
    • Assist in the management of the company’s digital presence, including website updates and social media management
    • Provide administrative support to the marketing department and other teams when required.
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
 
    • 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, or a related field
    • Prior work experience in Marketing, Public Relations, or Digital Marketing
    • Excellent command of the English language with strong writing skills
    • Good communication skills
    • Keen eye for detail and a creative mindset
    • Ability to plan and execute events effectively
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Familiarity with Social Media platforms and Digital Marketing tools
    • Experience in the financial industry is a bonus
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proactive and willing to learn
    • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
