Designer – Creative (Integrated)

Where cyber security meets style! We have a superb hybrid opportunity for a Mid-Weight Designer to join the central Ops Design team at a global cyber security company’s offices in Cape Town.
In this exciting hybrid role as Designer, you will serve as a creative and collaborative member of the Marketing team. You’ll be required to support the strategic goals of the team and wider business, ensuring the delivery of high-quality print and digital communications. The successful candidate will have a sharp focus on the detail and execute high-quality Design work.
We’re looking for an effective communicator; someone able to work with global teams, demonstrating ongoing Design innovation in their work. This person should be adept at Design problem-solving. The Designer will oversee projects from brief to delivery, spanning print and digital mediums, motion graphics, interactive content and web Design.

    • Work closely with the Principal Designer to manage Design and branding requirements across the business.
    • Support creative requests from stakeholders across the company including marketing, sales, client-facing teams and the Executive Committee.
    • Engage with project stakeholders to clarify and define the project scope, understand the brief and agree on timelines to deliver high-quality and impactful Design solutions.
    • Work on multiple projects at a time and demonstrate good time management skills.
    • Research and plan concepts for Design and prepare drafts of materials based on the brief.
    • Conceptualise and Design branding materials, such as brochures, illustrations, layouts, infographics, presentations, conceptual Designs, proposals, social media collateral.
    • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring the company’s visual brand is applied consistently and to the highest standards.
    • Demonstrate  company values through day-to-day behaviour and interactions with colleagues.
    • Provide timely, authentic and constructive feedback to colleagues and seek feedback in return.
The successful candidate must have/be:
    • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, the Visual Arts or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
    • 3-4 years’ professional experience working in an in-house Design team or a Communications, Digital, or Creative agency.
    • B2B experience will be advantageous.
    • Demonstrable working knowledge of editorial Design, art direction and the creative process for print and digital.
    • Demonstrable experience in print Design, offset production and document pre-press.
    • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After effects, Premiere).
    • Able to adapt to change and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Illustration, animation, video and photography skills will be advantageous.
    • Experience working with content management systems and marketing automation platforms – specifically HubSpot – will also be advantageous.
    • Experience working with global teams remotely – will also be an advantage as there will be collaboration with diverse global teams across different time zones.
    • Excellent eye for detail and ambitious for the quality of their work.
    • A proactive self-starter adept at critical thinking and problem-solving.
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work methodically and meet deadlines in a relatively fast-paced professional environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective presentation of ideas, concepts and creative outputs to colleagues at all levels.
    • Understanding of the strategic role of Design and visual branding within a B2B environment
    • Strong working knowledge of Design techniques and principles, including visual hierarchy, colour, layout and balance in print, web and interactive Design.
