Media maestros look sharp! We have a captivating on-site opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Mid-weight Paid Social Media & Digital Marketing Associate to join the in-house team at a renowned, global homeware brand in Somerset West.
The Digital Marketing Associate is responsible for the management, planning, and monitoring of social media and direct marketing activities. This includes the creation and implementation of programmes across social media and direct marketing channels that grow existing communities, engage new consumers, and drive these consumers from conversation to conversion. The successful candidate needs to have a functional understanding of social
media best practices as you will oversee community management from a strategic point of view.
Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for the planning and implementation of Paid
Social Media efforts alongside the Senior Digital Marketing Manager. We’re looking for an individual with in-house/corporate experience who is adept on all social media platforms. As such you should be able to manage both organic and paid social media and be able to work with fairly substantial budgets.
The ideal candidate will feel confident communicating in the brand voice, customising messages to best fit relevant platforms. The role is central to the delivery of a refined and positive consumer experience supporting the brand’s premium positioning, and
ultimately is a key contributor to the consumer acquisition and retention efforts required to
hit annual financial growth targets.
In this role you will be responsible for reporting and must be able to put together post campaign reports. Ideally you are a candidate with exposure to email marketing.

Responsibilities
- Drive consumer engagement and social community growth alongside the Social Media Associate via the delivery of compelling and relevant content that is optimised for each platform
- Management of reactive social communications – translating consumer comments and feedback received via listening tools, customer services, etc. – into response actions.
- Assist the teaam in planning engaging social media content, e.g., visiting retail stores to film content for a new product.
- Perform essential copywriting duties, such as crafting engaging captions for social media and composing compelling copy for email campaigns.
- Scheduling of content, and ad hoc posting as and when required (including after-hours/weekends/public holidays)
- Identify problems or concerns being voiced by consumers and to recommend paths forward to resolution.
- Recommending responses to potentially difficult questions from consumers and deciding when to engage.
- Work with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager to implement paid social programming.
- Coordinate social media content and messaging programs for retail marketing management and wholesale to support exclusive product launches and major initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key social media and direct marketing analytics, identifying pathways to monetisation and achieving other KPIs.
- Recommend, develop and launch new social media platforms and programmes alongside Senior Digital Marketing Manager and Social Media Associate as they become relevant to the brand’s consumers.
- Support and implement new social media technologies.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field preferred
- 4-5 years of proven marketing experience, preferably in retail or other retail consumer goods related category
- A demonstrated knowledge of the branded consumer goods marketplace and the practices employed to propel a business forward
- Experience building brand engagement on social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube)
- Experience with email marketing platforms
- Experience with content production supporting premium lifestyle brands
- Experience coordinating projects with agencies – ability to identify priorities, deliver on time and on budget
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to speak for company to consumers and to de-escalate situations
- Ability to multitask and recommend decisions
- Respond well to the agile and reactive needs of a retail business
- Attention to detail.
