We have a superb job opportunity for a Senior Planner at a fabulous full-service agency.  Affectionately known as “The City of Sails,” Auckland, New Zealand is home to this hot new job for a strategic mastermind. The Senior Planner is responsible for the development of insightful and effective relationship marketing and communication strategies that support clients to achieve their business objectives. This position is strongly CRM, Direct, Data and Digital Marketing focused. The role also needs to play a key part in ensuring that the strategies are effectively and creatively executed. The successful candidate will ensure the work the agency does connects with people, gets results and helps their clients grow. The scope of work includes, customer strategy, integrated Communications planning, customer focused Digital Strategy, Loyalty Strategy, lifecycle planning and programme strategy, customer experience mapping and future state definition as well as campaign strategy and tactical development. This is a role that operates with a high degree of autonomy. The Senior Planner is the agency’s key planning contact for your allocated clients (day to day leadership). You are expected to be a trusted partner for them and work with the Creative Director and GBDs responsible for those clients. Pack your bags, exciting opportunities await!

  • Ensure that best in class conceptual thinking leads to results and ROI
  • Inspire creative thinking (in both Strategy and the Work)
  • Partner creative and account teams to develop and deliver disruptive ideas at all points of customer contact
  • Proactive opportunity and revenue generation
  • Through understanding clients’ business identify opportunities to proactively address their business problems

  • Maintain high quality relationship with Key clients, Client Service leads and Creative Directors
  • Thought leadership
  • Application of multiple tools/models/methodologies and development of new iterations where appropriate
  • Provide relevant thought leadership and inspiration pieces for key clients and the agency.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Degree/Post graduate qualification in a related area.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Planning and/or Senior Marketing roles.
  • A track record of producing results.
  • Uncanny ability to develop high trust relationships with senior decision makers.
  • A deep knowledge of CRM, digital and communications planning.
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing automation.
  • High level of business acumen.
  • An action-oriented approach to strategy.
  • A customer centric philosophy and get how digital fits into a broader communications or experience framework and with business strategy.
  • Understands the ‘always on’ nature of marketing activity today.
  • Able to plan across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Passionate about the opportunities that technology, data, creativity and the always connected customer provide to create relevant, personalised and useful experiences.
  • Inspire the agency and clients they’ll need to be passionate, curious and interesting.
