We have a fabulous, fully remote, job opportunity for a mid-weight Social Media & Digital Specialist for an invaluable Cape Town based NPO. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the organisation’s online presence by developing, optimising, and managing content plans that align to their strategy. Working closely with the content creation team to brainstorm, plan and implement effective ways of sharing engaging and impactful content, you will need to be a conceptual thinker. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the performance of the content/social platforms and providing actionable insights. Responsibilities

  • Managing the implementation, tracking and measurement of social media intervention campaigns
  • Planning and implementing all paid social media campaigns
  • Measurement of social media performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Ensuring that social media campaigns are meeting organisation objectives
  • Managing the processes and procedures needed to ensure that all aspects of the social media intervention status are communicated as clearly as required
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive social media campaign documentation and plans
  • Publishing organic social media content
  • Planning and implementing paid campaigns
  • Compiling monthly reports on social media inventory
  • Providing administrative support
  • Housekeeping, which includes removing or adding users, troubleshooting, and managing the administration of Facebook Business Manager
  • Training new employees with how to use the platform.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Qualification in Marketing, Analytics, or another related field
  • 2+ years Analytics experience
  • Digital advertising experience
  • Analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • WordPress skills and the ability to upload content online here and on other channels
  • Conceptual and be able to brainstorm ideas for content and contribute ideas
  • Able to schedule content and  respond to comments
  • Able to do some paid search
  • Experience with and comfortable in remote work
  • Proficiency in more than one South African language is an advantage
  • Adaptable to change
  • Driven to achieve results
  • Strong decision making, action planning, and prioritisation skills
