We have a tasty hybrid opportunity for a Mid-Senior Digital Creative Manager at a popular restaurant chain in Cape Town. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with exceptional Digital Design skills, industry knowledge and people management experience.
The role will see you creating online content that interprets and implements the creative vision across brands with specific focus on Digital Assets, Social Media Content, Customer Relationship Marketing Assets and Website requirements.
A dynamic, thorough, and inquiring approach will be required as the successful Digital Creative Manager will be involved in a wide range of projects and executions, with timelines ranging from immediate to the long term.
The Digital Creative Manager will lead and direct the Digital Design team, comprising of a media content creator, video editor, digital designer, and digital copywriter. The team’s focus will be to create comprehensive Digital Communication campaigns aligned with strategic requirements to enhance the customer experience and brand relevance.
This role sits within a wider Marketing team where the ability to collaborate effectively is essential. The ideal candidate is able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to motivate their team by showing good leadership and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities
- Digital Design across various platforms: social media, aggregator, websites, digital asset management repository, etc.
- Assist the Creative Team Lead with conceptualisation and creation of key content pieces, job reviews, quarterly reporting and creative presentations.
- Lead and support direct reports to ensure delivery on brand objectives and daily output requirements.
- Collaborate with copywriters on social content and strategies.
- Design and deliver digital content in the required state for upload and dissemination.
- Collaborate with the digital team, to design HTML emailers and SMSs as required.
- Perform CMS changes on websites and Mobi sites if required.
- Design digital banners in HTML compatible with web and mobile devices.
- Maintain the high visual standards of the Group Creative Head and the marketing department as a whole and to assist others in maintaining this standard.
- Work closely with Traffic and Production to ensure systems are functioning smoothly (effective work delegation, problem solving or reporting issues).
- Work closely with brand managers (client) to ensure they have the necessary information to advise franchisees as well as ensuring briefing systems are being adhered to.
- Conduct line management tasks related to HR admin and performance assessments of the digital creative team and report back to the Creative leadership Team.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Digital Design Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 5+ years’ working and leadership experience
- Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop essential, After Effects, Final Cut Pro
- Familiar with Web 2.0 principles
- UI & UX centred design, prototyping
- AI Prompting and understanding of AI generative tools and software
- 3D Design and Motion graphics advantageous
- Video Editing and animation skills.
