We’re looking for a Digital Performance Manager to oversee the company’s content plan and optimise the performance of their digital channels, including the website, social media channels, and other digital platforms.
This position will play a crucial role in the management of content to drive traffic, engagement, and conversion rates through strategic planning, analysis, and optimisation of digital marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, data analysis, and performance optimisation with a passion for sports & delivering exceptional digital experiences.
This role will take ownership of the company’s content and performance across paid search, paid social, programmatic display, direct communications and website performance including SEO.

Responsibilities
Content Strategy Development
- Collaborate with marketing, communication, and content teams to develop an overarching content strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
- Analyse target audience demographics, preferences, and behaviour to tailor content strategy accordingly.
- Identify content gaps and opportunities to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and conversion.
Content Calendar Management
- Create and maintain a comprehensive digital content calendar outlining content themes, topics, formats, and publishing schedules across various channels (website, blog, social media, email newsletters, etc.).
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, designers, SEO specialists, and social media managers, to ensure timely content delivery.
- Regularly update the content calendar based on evolving priorities, feedback, and performance metrics.
Content Production Oversight
- Oversee the end-to-end content production process, from ideation and creation to editing, reviewing, and publishing.
- Provide guidance and support to content creators to ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with brand voice and messaging.
- Review content for accuracy, relevance, SEO optimisation, and adherence to brand guidelines and industry standards.
Content Performance Analysis
- Set up and manage the business digital marketing goals – monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, engagement metrics, conversion rates, and social media insights.
- Utilise data-driven insights to optimise digital campaigns, including targeting, messaging, creative assets, and landing page optimisation, to maximise ROI and conversion rates.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate content effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders.
SEO and Keyword Strategy
- Collaborate with SEO specialists to integrate keyword research and optimisation strategies into content planning and execution.
- Ensure that content aligns with SEO best practices, including keyword usage, meta tags, headings, and internal linking.
- Stay updated on search engine algorithm changes and industry trends to adapt content strategies accordingly.
Paid Media and Distribution
- Develop promotional strategies to increase content visibility and reach, including social media promotion, email marketing, influencer outreach, and content syndication.
- Coordinate with the marketing and social media teams to schedule and optimise content distribution across relevant channels.
- Explore partnerships and collaborations with external platforms and influencers to expand content reach and engagement.
Content Optimisation
- Continuously evaluate content performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
- A/B test different content elements (headlines, visuals, CTAs, etc.) to optimise engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Experiment with new content formats, channels, and distribution tactics to stay ahead of industry trends and consumer preferences.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure that all content complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including copyright, data privacy, and advertising guidelines.
- Mitigate potential risks associated with sensitive or controversial content by conducting thorough reviews and consultations with legal and compliance teams.
Team Collaboration and Communication
- Foster collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams involved in content creation, promotion, and measurement.
- Conduct regular meetings, brainstorming sessions, and training workshops to align team members with content goals, priorities, and processes.
Professional Development and Industry Awareness
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital content marketing, SEO, and social media.
- Pursue opportunities for professional development through conferences, workshops, online courses, and certifications to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced Degree preferred.
- 5 years of Digital Performance Marketing experience
- Strong campaign management skill
- Hands-on experience in Meta and Google Ads
- Analytical decision making
- Solid teamwork and proactive communication
- Proficiency in digital analytics tools, performance management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in some of the following utilities or their competitors: Google Marketing Platform (Analytics, Data Studio, Tag Manager and GA4), Bit.ly, SEO reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
