Managing a portfolio of consumer brands, including some in the alcohol sector, this role is client-facing, with a core focus on Client Service and Project Management.
Known for its innovation and creativity, this award-winning agency is looking for a dedicated candidate to take the reins of their digital, social, and paid media projects.
In this pivotal role, you’ll lead all digital and social planning and strategy, ensuring that teams meet deadlines, deliver against plans, and work within budgets. Acting as the key liaison between clients and internal teams, you’ll foster seamless communication and guarantee the successful execution of all tasks. You’ll also play an essential role in mentoring junior team members, focusing on skills development, while working on other new business and project opportunities.
The Digital Project Manager oversees a small team as well as outsourced agencies. Requiring exceptional attention to detail, you will write detailed briefs, and ensure nothing is overlooked
While hands-on experience implementing paid campaigns isn’t necessary, you must have a solid understanding of them and how they integrate into broader strategies.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Lead on developing all digital strategies and plans.
Content Creation & Management
- Oversee team members creating content for social channels and approves all content before it goes live/goes to client.
- Lead creative brainstorming of content ideas for brands and general guidance of team members to create meaningful and relevant content, for maximum reach and engagement.
- Manage timelines to deliver content plans for brands each month on time.
- Ensure attention to detail and quality control to ensure no spelling or grammatical errors throughout all content.
- Create some content as needed – copywriting, basic use of design templates (e.g. Canva, etc.) if needed.
Social Media Platform Management
- Oversee and check team members posting, scheduling, boosting and managing social media platforms via both native and third party means.
- Responsible for creating all reports and analytics, providing insights and suggesting optimisations based on content performance per audience per platform.
- Lead advanced understanding of demographic and audience segmentation data in order to target posts efficiently and effectively for maximum quality reach and engagement.
- Stay on top of social media trends, algorithm updates and general updates critical to brand success on social media.
Paid Digital Campaigns
- Work with paid media specialists and paid campaign managers to set up, manage and optimise campaigns – including social, PMAX, social, Google and more
- Create paid media strategies and media plans on a quarterly and monthly basis
- Platform tracking setup
- Ability to set up and manage campaigns unaided if needed.
Reporting, Analytics & Tracking
- Oversee and approve all reporting, including: Google analytics and UTM tracking tags, Key email open and performance metrics, and conversion funnel set up, and goal seeking (beneficial)
- Oversee team’s production of concise monthly reports on all facets of digital being managed and offer insights/analysis on how to evolve and improve each month.
- Together with the paid media team, monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, using analytics tools to measure ROI and campaign effectiveness.
- Continuously recommend ways to test, analyse, and optimise marketing initiatives based on insights from performance data.
Account Management
- Key client contact, responsible for managing relationships and delivering against all briefs, plans and activities.
- Ability to anticipate customer needs and adapt marketing strategies to align with target audiences and market trends.
- Responsible for mentoring, training and development of the rest of the digital team.
- Responsible for ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Conduct regular brand audits, competitive analyses, and market research to refine positioning and market presence.
Other
- Proactively research, recommend and implement new trends and ideas in the digital sphere.
- Other tasks and activities as assigned.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Industry relevant qualification.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a full-service digital communications agency or similar role.
- Thorough understanding of paid media campaigns – implementation experience not necessary but must have experience working with paid campaigns.
- Able to write detailed briefs.
- Experience in managing social media accounts for brands: content creation, scheduling, targeting, tracking and online relationship management (ORM).
- Proven experience in managing multiple client accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in delivering web-based applications/products for clients.
- Experience in customer relationship management and building brand journeys with brand advocate customers over time.
- Obsessive attention to detail and massively organised.
- Understanding of all marketing disciplines – digital, branding, online etc.
- Outgoing, opinionated and confident – but with being arrogant or obnoxious. Prima Donnas not wanted, but neither are wallflowers.
- Ability to lead others – Will oversee a small team and outsourced agency.
- Calm under pressure.
- Self-starter – high energy, ability to get stuck in and get their hands dirty.
