A terrific hybrid opportunity has become available for a talented Mid-Senior Digital Copywriter to join the vibrant Digital Creative team at a full-service, integrated ad agency in Cape Town.
We’re looking for a skilled candidate who has previous advertising/digital agency experience working on Through-the-Line campaigns, with an emphasis on digital.

As a key member of the team, you’ll take the lead in brainstorming and conceptualising big ideas, crafting and refining them into strategic multi-channel campaigns. You’ll also mentor and guide other copywriters while working on a high-profile national retail brand, delivering work across various platforms and channels. With your creative and technical writing expertise, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling tight deadlines and high volumes while remaining calm, focused, and resourceful.

Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Degree/Diploma in Copywriting, Journalism or another relevant field – ideal
- At least 4+ years’ relevant work experience as a Copywriter in an advertising agency
- Digital experience is required, and additional television and radio portfolio is beneficial
- Solid working knowledge and understanding of social content including: Paid and Organic Social Media (Meta, Twitter, TikTok, etc.), and SEO
- Understanding of TV and Radio (plus other traditional) Copywriting
- Strong conceptual thinking abilities
- Advanced level of Copywriting with finely honed Copywriting skills and knowledge of latest techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft software
- Detail-obsessed big thinker, passionate and hard-working, self-motivated team player with the ability to grasp a client’s strategy and brand, and deliver beautiful, insightful, polished work
- A portfolio that reflects digital and creative copywriting proficiencies
- Understanding of advertising as a selling tool
- Understand writing for SEO and utilising keywords effectively
- Must demonstrate creative insight and brilliance for client solutions across all media platforms
- Ability to create Copy across multiple digital and traditional channels
- Consistently produce creative elements against a deliverables list
- Attention to detail
- Accept guidance and respond well to criticism
- Resilient – can accept setbacks.
