An exciting new in-office role has come up for a creative, results-driven Mid-Level Social Media & Content Marketing Manager to join the small, dynamic team at a super company working in the wellness sector near Cape Town’s CBD.

This is a pivotal role that blends content strategy, campaign ideation, community engagement, and paid media capabilities. You’ll work closely with an in-house designer and contribute to both organic and paid campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
 
From crafting content plans, writing thumb-stopping captions and community chats to big-picture campaign planning, managing influencers and digging into performance metrics; you’ll own the full content journey helping shape a brand that’s all about helping teens thrive.

Responsibilities
 
Strategy & Campaign Planning
    • Develop and manage monthly and 90-day content calendars across all social channels
    • Ideate and brief creative concepts aligned with brand goals, product launches, and school/sports cycles
    • Collaborate with the founder and designer to shape campaign narratives and visual direction.
 
Content Creation Oversight
    • Write scroll-stopping hooks, captions, and short-form scripts for reels, stories, and influencer templates
    • Coordinate with athletes/influencers to generate and manage UGC and testimonial content
    • Lead content production workflows and ensure deadlines and standards are met.
 
Publishing & Community Engagement
    • Schedule and publish content via Meta Business Suite and/or Hootsuite
    • Monitor community engagement (DMs, comments, tags) and coordinate with customer service if needed
    • Track brand mentions and nurture relationships with creators and customers.
 
Performance Analysis & Optimisation
    • Report weekly and monthly on KPIs: engagement, reach, saves, CTR, and contribution to ROAS
    • Extract insights to improve creative strategies and iterate on high-performing formats
    • Support customer retention and LTV through educational and re-engagement content.
 
Paid Media (Optional but Preferred)
    • Assist in setting up and managing Meta, Instagram, and YouTube campaigns
    • Work with internal or external media buyers to optimize performance creatives
    • Provide ad copy, UGC briefs, and content angles to improve ROAS.
 
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
 
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications
    • 3–5 years of experience in Social Media Management, Content Marketing, or Digital Strategy
    • Proven ability to grow brand presence and drive engagement on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
    • Strong writing and conceptual thinking skills (hooks, storytelling, call-to-actions)
    • Comfortable briefing and collaborating with designers, video editors, and creators
    • Experience with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and YouTube advertising
    • Experience in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut for basic content creation.
