Marketing Co-ordinator/Assistant – Marketing

We have an exciting in-office opening for a décor loving junior Marketing Coordinator/Assistant to support the Marketing Manager at a high-end décor and lifestyle company in Cape Town.
This engaging role balances creativity with precision: you’ll manage signage and print requests, assist with content creation, and handle day-to-day website administration.
We’re looking for a creative and detail-driven marketing & digital administrator with up to 3 years’ experience in a marketing assistant or similar role. You’ll report directly to the Marketing Manager and be part of a lean, fast-paced team where you’ll gain exposure across a wide variety of marketing functions.

Responsibilities
Signage, Print & Content
- Manage signage and print-related requests from concept through to delivery.
- Liaise with suppliers, printers, and internal teams to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Assist with creation of marketing collateral, POS, and showroom displays.
- Support content creation for campaigns, newsletters, and social media.
Web & Digital Admin
- Maintain and update product pages on WordPress (new arrivals, discontinued items, price changes).
- Assist with monthly newsletters (Mailchimp) and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy across web listings, product descriptions, and imagery.
Marketing Support & Admin
- Provide administrative support to the Marketing Manager for campaigns, events, and advertising bookings.
- Coordinate production requests, supplier POs, and filing of contracts/documentation.
- Monitor social media platforms, ensuring timely responses to queries and engagement.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a Marketing Assistant/Marketing Support role.
- Familiarity with WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, and social scheduling tools.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Creativity and an interest in design/interiors.
- Excellent time management and respect for deadlines.
- Previous exposure to signage, print production, or retail/interiors industry advantageous.
- Experience with: WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, Social Pilot (or similar), Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive), Microsoft Office & Teams, and Meta Ads Manager (advantageous).
- Organised and reliable: structured in your approach, deadline-conscious, and consistent.
- Creative with an eye for detail: you can translate briefs into quality outputs that align with a premium brand.
- Comfortable with digital platforms: especially WordPress, Google Workspace, and social scheduling tools.
- Curious and proactive: you ask the right questions, propose ideas, and don’t wait to be told what to do.
- Collaborative and professional: a team player with solid communication skills.
