We have an exciting in-office opportunity for Mid-weight Designer with multimedia skills to join the studio at an innovative visual communications studio in Cape Town.
We’re looking for a talented, versatile Designer and skilled communicator who can translate complex ideas into compelling, accessible, visual communications. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded creative with strong Graphic Design expertise and proven experience in Motion Graphics (including exposure to 2D animation).
If you are skilled at creating digital assets in Adobe Illustrator for use in Design collateral and 2D Motion Graphics this is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of collateral. From magazines, posters, and hazard maps to infographics to toolbox talks (safety-focused visual presentations), you will create visual communication solutions tailored to corporate communication needs.

Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Originating design elements for a diverse range of communication materials.
- Creating assets for 2D/Isometric motion graphics, including storyboards, templates, or animated sequences.
- Collaborating with writers, animators, and creative leads to develop cohesive visual assets for client projects, including motion graphics, infographics, and print media.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- 3–6 years of experience in graphic design and motion graphics.
- Strong command of design principles: typography, layout, composition, and hierarchy.
- Ability to interpret briefs and develop conceptually strong creative responses.
- Proficiency across print, digital and motion design formats.
- Fluency in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud software (especially Illustrator, Photoshop & After Effects).
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good file organisation, version control and workflow efficiency.
- Excellent time and task management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Able to perform well under pressure.
- Advanced attention to detail and consistency across multi-format outputs.
- Experience with isometric illustration will be greatly advantageous.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime during project deadlines.
- A professional and proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
- Willing to work as part of a team and be open to new approaches.
- A keen ability to manage projects from start to finish.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Curious and have a desire to learn.
