We have a fantastic in-office (with some flexibility) opportunity for a truly passionate Senior Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager to join the growing team at an importer/distributor of upmarket home lifestyle products based in Cape Town.
 
This is a hands-on role for a digitally driven all-rounder who lives and breathes content, social media, and brand storytelling. Working across both B2B and B2C markets in South Africa and the UK, you’ll take ownership of social strategy, content creation, community growth, influencer campaigns, and e-commerce (paid media) support for a portfolio of premium lifestyle products.
 
From filming product demos and creating scroll-stopping TikToks to managing Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn and paid digital campaigns, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, moves quickly from idea to execution, and knows how to build brands through compelling content. We’re looking for a creative, tactical and highly organised marketer with strong digital instincts, a passion for social trends, and the confidence to both be behind the camera (and occasionally in front of it). Strong TikTok experience is vital for this role.

Responsibilities
 
    • Own end-to-end social media strategy across  Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube (and emerging platforms).
    • Plan, schedule, publish, and manage content calendars with consistent brand voice and visuals.
    • Stay on top of platform updates, competitor activity, and social trends.
    • Identify opportunities for seasonal campaigns and international awareness days.
    • Grow communities through  organic posting and active audience engagement.
    • Manage customer interactions professionally (comments, DMs, queries).
    • Track and improve KPIs: reach, engagement, follower growth, CTR, conversions.
    • Produce regular reporting with insights and recommendations.
    • Content Creation, video & copy (social-optimised)
    • Create engaging content for social, websites, ads, and product launches.
    • Film, edit, and publish: – Product demos, educational content, testimonials, promotional videos, – Short-form video for Reels, TikTok, Shorts, and paid campaigns, and – Behind-the-scenes, unboxings, and customer-focused video content
    • Write captions, scripts, headlines, product descriptions, and ad copy tailored to different audiences.
    • Experiment with trends and emerging formats to maximise reach.
    • Brand assets & creative production
    • Design and maintain digital and print marketing collateral, including: flyers, posters, brochures, point-of-sale materials, email graphics, product inserts, sales collateral, and product spec sheets and documentation updates.
    • Identify, recruit, and manage influencers and creator collaborations.
    • Digital advertising (Meta-driven support)
    • Assist with the planning, set-up, monitoring, and optimisation of Meta paid campaigns.
    • Develop ad creative and copy concepts (alongside internal/agency support where needed).
    • Support monthly reporting and performance analysis.
    • Collaborate with external agencies/partners as applicable.
    • Protect and strengthen the brand across all customer touchpoints.
    • Monitor brand sentiment and online reputation.
    • E-commerce & Product content support
    • Create and update product content for websites and marketplaces.
    • Support product launches with marketing materials and supporting copy.
    • Ensure product information, imagery, and content remain accurate and current.
    • Maintain organised digital asset libraries (shared drives, folders, archives).
    • Compile social, PR, influencer, and campaign performance reports.
    • Track deadlines, deliverables, and ongoing campaign tasks.
    • Support internal marketing requests and cross-departmental projects.
 
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
 
    • Proven experience managing social media for a brand/business.
    • Strong content creation and copywriting skills.
    • Advanced working knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva / Adobe).
    • Video filming and editing experience.
    • Understanding of Meta advertising platforms.
    • Excellent communication, organisation, and independent working capability.
    • Influencer marketing experience.
    • E-commerce/marketplace exposure.
    • Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
    • Experience supporting international markets.
    • Photography and videography capability.
    • Technical tools (Must-Have): Canva (advanced), Meta Business Suite, Meta Ads Manager, CapCut / InShot (or similar video editing tools), Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Google Drive, ChatGPT/Gemini AI exposure.
    • Social Media–led personal attributes
    • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail
    • Highly organised, self-motivated, and deadline-driven
    • Comfortable working behind camera (and occasionally on camera)
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Confident multitasker managing multiple campaigns/projects at once.
