We have a super on-site, 6-month, fixed-term contract opportunity looking for a digitally savvy Social Media & E-Commerce Manager to support the growth and positioning of an FMCG company based in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs.

At the heart of this role is social media management and content creation – this is where you’ll make the biggest impact from day one. You’ll take the lead in building a strong, engaging digital presence through consistent, on-brand content and smart platform management.

Beyond that, you’ll support the Marketing Manager across broader e-commerce and brand activities, gaining exposure to the full digital ecosystem. While experience across these areas is a plus, your strength in social and content is what will set you apart in this role.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have/be:

• 2–3 years’ experience in a Marketing, Digital, or Brand support role, ideally within FMCG or consumer products

• Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone across multiple brands

• Creatively confident content creator using Canva (or Adobe Creative Suite) to develop polished, brand-aligned content

• Lives and breathes social media – you understand trends, algorithms, engagement tactics, and community building.

• Understands the dynamics of e-commerce and has hands-on experience managing WooCommerce or similar platforms

• Confident running both paid (Google & Meta Ads) and organic digital campaigns, with a solid grasp of SEO principles – ADVANTAGEOUS

• Data-driven and comfortable interpreting Google Analytics and campaign performance metrics

• Experience working with agencies, designers, influencers, or content creators

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Proactive, solutions-focused, and thrives as the right-hand support to a Marketing Manager.
