Heads up, conceptual Art Directors in Cape Town! We have a tremendous hybrid opportunity for a Mid-weight Art Director to join a leading through-the-line creative advertising agency, part of an international agency group.
We’re looking for a conceptual thinker with strong Art Direction skills and the ability to turn a great idea into a campaign that works across platforms. You’ll work closely with a Copywriter to develop concepts across advertising, social media and digital, taking ideas from initial brief and creative thinking through to rollout.
This is a role for an Art Director who loves the thinking as much as the making – someone who can see the big idea, shape its visual direction and bring it to life across every relevant touchpoint.

Responsibilities
- To produce and craft original and usable concepts in response to creative briefs
- Collaborate across the agency on a variety of projects.
- Work with both local and international brands.
Requirements
The successful candidates must have/be:
- Degree or Diploma in Art Direction/Visual Communication
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience advertising agency environment
- A passion for visual communications
- Passion for conceptual thinking
- Excellent conceptual ability and some design flair- with a portfolio that demonstrates through-the-line work
- Able to take a campaign through from concept to rollout
- Exposure to relevant structures and processes in the agency
- Confident communication skills
- InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator skills
- Exposure to AI platforms.
