PR Account Director – Public Relations / Corporate Communications
Cape Town – Western Cape

One of South Africa’s leading communication and public affairs consultancies is looking for a senior-level Account Director to work at their Cape Town head office.
This is an exciting hands-on role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for strategy, media pitching, crisis comms, and writing. You’ll be working on a super variety of clients, for which traditional Corporate Client PR experience is a must!
Candidates must have excellent management and client service skills and have previous experience in a PR agency working on a portfolio of corporate clients. The role will be strong on strategy as well as on execution. The company has a flat structure and there is no hierarchy.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- At least eight years’ experience in upper mid-level and senior communication roles
- Brilliant writing skills (press releases, thought leadership, speeches, newsletters, analysis, etc.)
- Traditional Corporate Client PR experience and crisis comms experience – a must
- Outstanding client services/relationship management skills
- Ability to lead a team if required
- Hands-on
- Hardworking, loyal and trustworthy
- No ego/sense of self-importance
- Proficient on PowerPoint
- Social Media experience
- Able to work long hours when required.
