We have an exciting in-office (initially) opportunity for a Mid-weight Brand Lead with experience in the South African investment markets to join the team at an innovative, established start-up FinTech investment app. You can be based in either Cape Town or Johannesburg.
 
 
This is a chance to take ownership of the brand for a licensed South African FinTech investment platform that has been successfully operating for more than five years, giving investors access to shares, ETFs, precious metals, currencies and cryptocurrency through a single app. As Brand Lead, you’ll be responsible for shaping and strengthening the brand’s identity, positioning and market presence, ensuring it continues to build trust and stand out in an increasingly competitive investment landscape.
 
 
Working across both online and offline channels, you’ll develop and execute brand strategies that drive awareness, consistency and engagement, while partnering with In-House Creative, media and cross-functional teams to bring the brand to life. From refining brand positioning and messaging to leading integrated campaigns and measuring brand performance, you’ll play a pivotal role in influencing how investors experience and connect with the business.

Note: This role will be in-office initially and then after 3 months it will convert to a hybrid role.
 
 
Responsibilities
 
    • Define the brand’s long-term strategy: mission, vision, values, positioning, and target audience; produce a clear positioning statement and brand platform
    • Audit and refresh the brand identity system: visual identity, voice/tone, messaging pillars, and core narratives
    • Ensure that brand guidelines are applied consistently across all channels and teams
    • Develop brand strategy to increase trust, awareness and other brand metrics
    • Plan and execute brand and media campaigns (PR; media; offline) to reach brand objectives
    • Monitor and analyse brand and media performance to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify insights.
 
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be
 
    • Industry relevant tertiary qualification
    • 5+ years of experience in brand management on international level
    • Fluent English
    • Experience in brand platform and brand book development
    • Proven cases of brand identity ownership and implementation through all marketing channels
    • Experience in execution of offline and online brand campaigns
    • Knowledge, calculation and evaluation of relevant brand metrics
    • Experience on the South African market is a must.
