We have a fresh, 1-year contract opportunity for a Junior to Mid-weight Brand Manager at a healthy, quick service restaurant chain, based in Cape Town.
Note: This is a flexible in-office role (5 half days per week OR 3 full days).
 
We’re looking for a youthful Brand Manager with FMCG and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience to effectively manage campaigns. An energetic candidate who is keen to get stuck in and be involved in all brand and marketing related deliverables for the brand and its stores. The Brand Manager will be charged with implementing all communications, driving brand equity and ensuring consistency across all brand touch points.
 
Your role will be to champion the brand using your experience and passion for effective marketing. You’ll be responsible for everything from Brand Management (building brand awareness and consistency), growing Digital Marketing channels, Trade Marketing and store growth, to PR and building PR relationships, partnerships, and influencers. You’ll also be responsible for the management of key strategic brand/supplier partnerships, Events & Activations, Customer Service & Community Management, as well as budgeting.

Responsibilities
 
    • Brand Management: Creatively direct & manage all brand communications, assets & collateral to ensure that the brand standards are upheld, the brand remains relevant, aspirational, innovative & desirable, whilst communicating clearly & creating strong brand equity. (E.g.: campaigns, content creation, packaging design, promotions, messaging, etc.)
    • Digital Marketing: Manage all digital channels & touchpoints between the brand & its stakeholders, across social media, email, website, online & all others. Create content, schedule posting, engage & grow the communities, & ensure the brands digital presence represents the in-store experience & brand vibe. (Paid & organic)
    • Trade Marketing: Manage all print & other physical executions for in-store collateral, to execute on the brands communications deliverables for campaigns and promotions, to ensure consistent messaging across the store network & deliver on business growth. (E.g.: posters, table talkers, menus, screens, etc.)
    • 3rd party payments & ordering: Manage the 3rd party digital channels for online ordering, payments, rewards, coupons & vouchering, to leverage the channels for customer acquisition & business growth, as well as managing the brands presence. (E.g.: UberEATS, Mr D, Snap Scan, etc.)
    • PR, Ambassadors/Influencers & Partnerships: Manage the brand’s Public Relations across all channels & manage relationships with its ambassadors, influencers, media & all other key stakeholders, to ensure that the brand’s communications achieve widespread awareness & the brand earns positive & far-reaching endorsement.
    • Manage key strategic brand/supplier partnerships to deliver strong brand equity, collaborating with brands to align strategically & leverage each other’s consumers & brand value.
    • Events & Activations: Manage all consumer face-to-face engagements in & out of home, creating meaningful & engaging consumer & key stakeholder experiences, to communicate the brands messages & build strong relationships & human connections with the brand’s audience, with the support of the Central Kitchen and Operations team members. (E.g.: Influencer experiences, Monday Motivation, Kids kitchen events, collab events, etc)
    • Customer Service & Community Management: Manage all aspects of customer relationships & community management, across all touchpoints, both in-store & digitally, to ensure that all customer interactions are dealt with effectively & efficiently, with the support of the group Community/Customer Service Manager and the respective Operations team members.
    • Budgeting, Admin & Other: Manage all budget, admin and other related tasks associated with managing an organised, effective, and efficient marketing department.
 
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
 
    • Degree in Marketing/Communications
    • Functional experience: Minimum 3 years
    • Industry experience: Quick Service Restaurant, FMCG
    • Leadership/Management experience: Minimum 1 year
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, Canva, etc.
    • Proficient in English
