We have a healthy in-office opportunity for an innovative Brand Marketing Manager to drive a newly acquired, iconic product in the Sports Nutrition category for a leading FMCG foods company in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs.
This role calls for a commercially minded, insight-driven marketer with a passion for building brands that resonate. You’ll take ownership of translating consumer insights into an end to end strategy and impactful campaigns, shape brand positioning, and deliver integrated marketing across multiple channels.
Working in a fast-paced, innovation-led environment, a key focus will be leading a major brand relaunch, and as such, this role requires someone with proven relevant experience.

Responsibilities
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, consumer insights & market trends to turn data into action-oriented strategies & market share growth.
- Develop and execute brand strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Executing the marketing Brand strategy
- Defining & execution of New Product, Value, Target Marketing & packaging solutions in line with the Brand objectives.
- Manage & execute all new packaging design, to print.
- Design and execute integrated marketing, promotional & advertising campaigns across digital, retail, and in-store channels.
- Ensure brand consistency across all consumer touchpoints.
- Monitor & Measure Brand performance, together with marketing activities via clearly defined metrics & present monthly to the executive board.
- Define & Drive growth through data-led decision making.
- Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams (sales & trade marketing, procurement, Marketing, product development, production, finance) to deliver on brand initiatives.
- Partnership Management: Manage relationships with ambassadors, athletes, fitness influencers, and gym partnerships to enhance brand credibility.
- Manage relationship with Creative agencies, Digital, promotions, packaging manufacturers & printers & all outsourced services.
- Together with Trade Marketing, create Brand awareness & form relationships with targeted customer channels.
- Oversee & manage the marketing budget ROI and performance metrics.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Degree in Marketing/Communications and/or related field
- Minimum 6-7+ years’ work experience in FMCG Marketing
- FMCG sports nutrition/health beverage industry experience
- Knowledge of the wellness, fitness, nutrition, and supplement industry
- Exceptional understanding & execution of the full marketing mix.
- Experience with Research – both qualitative and quantitative
- Experience with new product rebrands and/ relaunches.
- Experience in rebranding & packaging design.
- Identifying target demographics and devising campaigns that are designed to drive engagement & measurable action.
- Ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Advanced communication and people skills.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
