We’re looking for a Senior Digital Designer to join a full-service creative ad agency in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs in an on-site role, creating strategically smart digital work for fast-moving retail and FMCG clients.
Working closely with Account Executives and the wider creative team, you’ll bring ideas to life through type, photography, illustration, colour and motion across web and cross-platform digital campaigns. You’ll need the creative eye to make the work stand out and the commercial thinking to understand why it works.
This is a busy, high-output retail environment where deadlines move quickly and great work gets made at pace – ideal for a designer who thrives on variety, collaboration and turning smart thinking into polished execution.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years’ experience in a digital design role.
- A Certificate, Diploma or BA Degree specialising in Multimedia Design, plus Matric/Grade 12.
- Strong hands-on skills in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- An established design aesthetic and strong command of colour, typography and layout.
- The ability to think strategically and ideate across platforms, not simply execute a brief.
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation, with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
- A strong understanding of current design trends and how they translate into a commercial environment.
- The ability to collaborate with a team, communicate creative direction and deliver confidently in a fast-paced environment.
- A professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
