Brewing brand brilliance online! We have a delicious on-site opportunity brewing for a Mid-Weight Digital Marketing Manager at a leading, lifestyle-focused food & beverage brand’s Cape Town HQ. We’re looking for someone with industry-related experience and a creative content background.
 
In this tasty role as Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for implementing, driving and practising digital technologies and techniques to achieving the marketing objectives for the brand.
 
Ultimately, they are looking for someone who not only brings industry-specific (i.e. Restaurant/QSR) expertise but also has digital innovation, CRM, and experience with app and WhatsApp or delivery platform integration, as well as leadership, creative flair, and confidence to take the brand to the next level.

You’ll also build brand loyalty, boost downloads, and keep the digital queue buzzing – all while working closely with third-party partners and staying ahead of the tech curve.

Responsibilities
 
Digital Marketing Strategy
    • Develop and Implement an effective digital marketing strategy across all platforms that drive and support the brand to achieve its objectives as part of the overall Marketing and Communications plan.
 
App
    • Manage and liaise with the application developer to drive application improvements and content management of the brand application.
    • Utilise the brand app to drive customer relationship management through rewarding top customers, re engaging ghost users, target messaging and consumer segmentation.
    • Drive the growth of the database through driving the number of customer downloads.
    • Integrate marketing promotions and campaigns to drive application downloads.
    • Negotiate and initiate additional sales for voucher purchases.
    • Updating products and prices regularly.
 
Website, Social Media and Digital Content
    • Managing the company website and user experience, Social Media pages and Blog.
    • Devise strategies to drive online traffic and continue to improve usability, design, relevant content and conversion.
    • Manage online customer relationships and reputation.
    • Tracking conversion rates and making improvements to the website.
    • Lead the development of the social media presence.
    • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing.
 
Delivery Platforms
    • Grow and manage delivery platforms.
    • Manage relationships with Uber eats, Mr D, Bolt to increase sales.
    • Be part of 3rd party promotion and initiate Brand driven promotions.
    • Draw up delivery marketing calendar.
 
Customer Relationship Management and Data Analytics
    • Gather, analyse and feedback data received via various platforms (e.g. company application, online channels, etc).
    • Prepare monthly feedback reporting to Management and quarterly reviews on various segments.
 
Digital Advertising and Marketing
    • Develop and manage online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness.
    • Utilising a range of techniques including paid search, SEO and PPC and Google display.
 
Email Marketing
    • Source and develop content to drive email marketing initiatives, campaigns and monthly newsletters to customer database.
 
Online Brand Partnership Management
    • Managing the online relationships with Discovery Vitality and Discovery Insure rewards programmes.
 
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
 
    • Tertiary Qualification in Marketing
    • 3-5years professional experience working in QSR/WSR/FMCG
    • IT and related skills: Google, CMS, SEO, PPC, e-marketing, social media, analytics, email marketing, eCommerce
    • Read and write English
    • Analytics skills – measuring marketing effectiveness
    • Targeting skills – refining and segmenting data
    • Conversion skills – tracking prospect to customer
    • Marketing technology skills – CRM systems, marketing automation
    • Engagement skills – delivering value-based content through the right channels
    • Passion for media and digital
    • Flexibility and adaptability to Change
    • Creative and detail-oriented
