DTP Finished Artist – Creative (Integrated)

We have an exciting hybrid opportunity for a DTP Finished Artist at an advertising agency in Cape Town. The agency is part of a renowned global Group and boasts an integrated, full-service offering.
You will work within the DTP production division to execute and roll-out artwork for a variety of print and web-ready deliverables, including brochures, banners, digital assets, and point-of-sale material across the client portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Deliver intricate and accurate artwork on schedule and within budget for a range of low to high-volume projects and campaigns
- Consistently, precisely, and to the highest quality retouch and process images for use in print and digital
- A keen eye for detail while making sure each piece of artwork meets the highest requirements for quality control and assurance
- Collaborate with colleagues in different departments such as Motion, Digital, 3D, Producers, and Operations)
- Liaise with print production teams on print preparation for physical installation
- Articulate rationale and feedback in a thoughtful and articulate manner
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships within the agency
- Always develop and maintain a good understanding of the agency’s culture and act in its best interests
- Collaborate efficiently with the international office and remote employees across all creative artwork projects
- Delegate and collaborate with teammates across multiple creative artwork projects.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Relevant qualification/experience in DTP Finished art/and or visual communication
- Ability to think creatively to enable the rollout of initial ideas across multiple outputs.
- Print and digital industry awareness: Excellent working knowledge of print artwork, digital artwork and photo retouching.
- Proven proficiency and technical skills within Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and deadline-driven production environment
- Ability to adhere to department-wide processes
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to inform project discussions and decisions
- A minimum of 3-5 years relevant industry experience
- Strong portfolio of work showcasing a mixture of print artwork, digital artwork and retouching ability
- Understanding of Adobe Bridge – advantageous
- Understanding of FIGMA/Sketch – advantageous
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D production – advantageous
- Keen eye for detail, layout and typography
