Meet us at the cross-section between Fashion and e-Commerce Design for this Cape Town based role. It’s an exciting in-office opportunity for a technically talented Mid-Weight E-Commerce Designer with solid Fashion experience to work on an e-Commerce fashion retail brand.
 
This is a hands-on role where fashion flair meets digital know-how. You’ll be shaping the online presence of a growing fashion brand while ensuring every touchpoint, from the website to social media and in-store signage, reflects its style and identity.

Responsibilities
 
General
 
    • Lead end-to-end creative delivery across campaigns, digital ads, websites, social media, emailers, presentations, events, and print materials.
    • Design and build responsive digital content and marketing pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; and apply UI/UX best practices to improve usability and visual storytelling.
    • Ensure strict brand governance and visual consistency across all creative outputs
    • Manage digital and print assets by organising and maintaining design files, templates, and libraries for scalability and team access.
    • Track performance and report on creative effectiveness, supporting the continuous improvement of marketing initiatives.
    • Stay on top of design trends, tools, and technologies— with an eye on digital innovation, marketing strategy, and e-commerce evolution.
 
 
Retail
 
    • Design all store signage.
    • Coordinate printing with printers.
 
 
Online
 
    • Design and create all banners for the websites. This includes landing pages and every product category, navigation menu and content pages.
    • Design all sale artwork and pop-ups and category banners.
    • Design artwork and banners for new landing pages when needed.
    • Design all email newsletters.
 
 
Social Media
 
    • Design all artwork needed for graphic posts and videos as briefed by Marketing Manager.
    • Design and include all last-minute posts such as sale announcements etc.
    • Design social media stories & reels when requested and shoot video in store content required for Instagram.
    • Always researching and looking for new social media graphic trends
 
 
Seasonal Campaigns
 
    • Constantly research and look out for new seasonal trends internationally to conceptualise campaign shoots graphic design.
    • Resize imagery needed for specific malls for them to display on their socials.
 
 
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
 
    • A Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Web Design, Multimedia, or a related field;
    •       OR a minimum of four years’ experience as a Senior Designer or Senior Art Director.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, Media Encoder, Dreamweaver and InDesign
    • Fashion brand experience is non-negotiable. However, décor or beauty brand experience may be considered
    • Experience working with retail, or e-commerce sectors.
    • Social media knowledge as a large part of the role is creating content for social media – essential.
    • Familiarity with Figma and front-end development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
    • Working knowledge of web design and CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify).
    • Strong understanding of design best practices for both digital and print production.
    • Demonstrated ability to work within strict brand guidelines while producing innovative, high-quality creative.
    • Excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • A strong portfolio showcasing cross-platform design work.
