We have an exciting in-house opportunity for a talented Junior – Mid Graphic Designer to join a leading branded APPAREL and PROMOTIONAL products company in Cape Town.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong designer who enjoys seeing their work come to life across apparel, promotional merchandise, corporate branding, and print applications. Working closely with clients, sales teams, and production specialists, you’ll play a key role in preparing artwork, managing branding projects, and ensuring designs are production-ready across a variety of printing and decoration methods.
Beyond graphic design skills, we’re looking for someone with excellent communication abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the confidence to work directly with clients while supporting multiple departments in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Operate and manage artwork within the DecoNetwork platform.
- Communicate professionally and confidently with clients in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Receive client-supplied artwork and prepare, adjust, and optimise designs for production.
- Create print-ready files for DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing and other branding processes.
- Check artwork for quality, sizing, colour accuracy, resolution, and production suitability.
- Assist clients with artwork modifications and provide practical branding recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with the sales, production, embroidery, printing, and branding teams.
- Support the overall branding team in delivering high-quality customer service and production outcomes.
- Learn and assist with the operation of DTF printing equipment when required.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience preparing artwork for commercial print production.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to support different departments.
- Experience using DecoNetwork software (not essential but beneficial).
- Experience in the promotional products, branded apparel, signage, print, or corporate branding industries.
- Familiarity with embroidery digitising, screen printing, DTF printing, heat transfer, or related decoration methods.
- Previous experience working directly with customers.
