A creatively led, integrated advertising agency’s Johannesburg office is on the lookout for an experienced Integrated Account Manager for this hybrid role.
The agency focuses on in-store and promotional work. As such, we’re looking for someone with integrated experience to manage processes from brief to execution to completion. This exciting role calls for someone with a strong focus on and experience in FMCG with a sound understanding of Shopper Marketing.
We’re looking for an Account Manager who does not necessarily need to be an expert but must understand the basics; like the difference between Shopper and Consumer Marketing, as well as In-store/Trade/Retail Marketing. You’ll also need to understand different in-store POS. It will be a bonus if you have a more in-depth understanding.
Success in this role will rely on your meticulous attention to detail, being a stickler for processes, good admin skills, and proactive thinking. Our ideal candidate is a confident communicator. A trustworthy individual with good energy.

Responsibilities
- Managing all aspects of selected accounts/brands awarded
- Building and maintaining relationships with Clients (Brand team, Trade Marketing, and the General Managers
- Generating work and turnover from the relationships built
- Taking briefs and converting them into workable internal agency briefs
- Overseeing, reviewing, and presenting costings, and managing the distribution of invoices and collection of payments
- Assisting in the management of the complete process (on time and in budget), from brief to delivery of finished materials, of all campaign elements (includes liaising with suppliers, studio, and all relevant stakeholders, managing Clients through campaigns, and delivering post-campaign analyses
- Proposing proactive work to Clients to supplement turnover
- Participate in Company activities – brainstorms, meetings, functions, events, and so forth
- Actively participate in and contribute to key Client activities – brand audits and competitor reviews; their brand strategy process; their brand plan process.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Relevant qualification
- 5-6 years recent advertising agency experience
- Integrated experience – a must
- Strong integrated FMCG experience with solid understanding of/experience in shopper Marketing
- Understanding of the basics: ATL production process, consumer promo process, usages, finance process from client to internal, basic Account management process from brief to execution to complete
- Digital experience will be a bonus
- Understands the difference between shopper and consumer and understand in-store/Trade/retail Marketing
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Enjoys working through/discovering solutions, someone who takes a problem with the mindset of “we can make this work”, “we can fix this”
- Open to taking instruction/direction from her team
- Team player – so always willing to help and assist even if it’s not expected
