We have an exciting, on-site opportunity for a creative Junior – Mid-weight Designer to join the Marketing team at the in-house studio of a popular, established restaurant Group in in Cape Town’s Table View/Blouberg area.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, motivated and energetic Designer with a flair for innovative creativity. The Designer reports directly to the Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities
- Create marketing and promotional material for digital and print platforms. This includes, but is not limited to material for print ads, web, social media platforms, newsletters, presentations and proposals.
- Coordinate the production and distribution of a wide range of marketing communications, as well as branding and signage.
- Create briefs, manage projects and liaise with other internal departments and third parties such as suppliers, printers, couriers, photographers and food stylists.
- Maintain the high visual standards of the brand and assist in enhancing the group’s overall marketing strategy.
- Source and create images around an established brand look and feel.
- Manage projects to ensure that critical paths are followed, and deadlines are met.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the company’s corporate website and social media profiles.
- Maintain technical knowledge and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Conduct quality and quantity checks on material.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum 2-3 years’ Graphic Design experience- essential
- Proficient in Adobe CS6 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite
- Photoshop deep etching and repro skills
- Well-spoken with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management and project management skills
- Ability to follow and execute a brief
- Excellent attention to detail (spelling, grammar, layout and formatting)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Creative, innovative, motivated and reliable
- HTML/CSS and WordPress exposure – advantageous.
