A bright, in-office opportunity has become available for a creative and detail-oriented Junior-Mid Marketing Coordinator to join the team at a company operating in the renewable energy sector in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs.
 
This dynamic opportunity offers a mix of Marketing Coordination and Communications and we’re looking for a Marketing professional with a demonstrated ability to turn big-picture plans into daily action, for both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be charged with helping to bring this company’s marketing strategies to life.
 
We’re looking for someone who thrives on precision and execution, with strong organisational skills and a flair for detail. Experience in the B2B space will be a strong advantage. A background in writing and/or content creation is highly beneficial, and while LinkedIn management experience is preferred, it’s not essential.
 
Day-to-day responsibilities will see you keeping marketing activities on track – from coordinating brochures, flyers, gifting and branded collateral to ensuring smooth internal communications and engagement initiatives, including sponsored activations and sports gear branding.
This is an in-office role, but there will be some flexibility.
 
Responsibilities
 
Internal & External Marketing Support
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external marketing queries.
  • Coordinate marketing for all divisions.
  • Coordinate the sourcing, development and distribution of stakeholder-facing materials, corporate gifts and corporate-branded items for employees.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all materials, from digital content and proposals to signage and branded PPE.
  • Assist with internal employee communications, including an employee magazine and numerous employee engagement campaigns.
  • Maintain a central repository of high-quality, approved assets to support internal and external communication.
  • Support and sometimes drive production, including photo shoots, promotional material and corporate films.
  • Compile basic analytics reports to measure results and recommend and/or guide improvements.
  • Track budget, invoices and supplier payments in coordination with the Finance team.
 
Event Coordination
    • Coordinate logistics for events, from stakeholder forums and recognition events to project launch events, including venue sourcing, branding, vendor coordination and on-the-day execution.
 
Content & Content Marketing
  • Draft, edit and schedule content across social media (LinkedIn in particular), newsletters, SharePoint and our website.
  • Repurpose content into engaging formats (short-form video, case studies, infographics).
  • Support digital campaigns, including advertising, lead generation and email marketing.
  • Assist and coordinate interviews between media agency and divisional contacts.
 
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
 
  • A Marketing Degree or Diploma, or related qualification
  • At least 3 years’ professional marketing experience (B2B preferred).
  • Strong project management skills – able to juggle multiple moving parts.
  • Excellent writing and editing ability with an eye for detail.
  • Experience in content creation and content marketing.
  • Experience with CMS platforms and social media management (especially LinkedIn).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritise deliverables and work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, fostering sound relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organised and self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail and a creative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Great at execution
