We have a dynamite on-site opportunity for a Junior to Mid-Weight Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to join a nutrition manufacturing company that supplies major retailers, based in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs.
This exciting role calls for a detail-oriented Digital Marketer with a solid understanding of Marketing techniques with a keen interest in providing a consistent brand voice across all marketing activities to the company’ specific audiences. The successful candidate exhibits critical thinking, strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
The role’s Social Media function will see you creating digital content for Facebook, Instagram, some TikTok and a focus on growing LinkedIn. As such you’ll need to be proficient in Canva and writing skills for crafting social media posts. Knowledge of MailChimp and WooCommerce is advantageous. You will also keep an eye on the brand’s community management.

Responsibilities
- Develop strategic marketing initiatives and activities.
- Implement marketing plans that include print and online content and design
- Create branded advertising campaigns
- Setup tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities.
- Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities.
- Traffic all advertising efforts to appropriate channels.
- Develop and manage all internal communication systems.
- Create, maintain and strengthen the organisation’s overall brand through all media avenues.
- Manage print contractors and other promotional vendors.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Simplify complex data into a user-friendly format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids for management.
- Social Media content creation: writing posts, creating designs in Canva.
- Social Media management on Facebook, Instagram, some TikTok and growing LinkedIn page/following.
- Social Media Community management
- Oversee the updating of websites – using WooCommerce
- Designing of monthly newsletters – using MailChimp
- Instrumental in analysing data for regular category management reviews
- Marketing is responsible for all customer and consumer communication
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related
- 3 years’ experience in content management, creative writing, advertising concepts and media negotiations.
- Experience in Digital Design for Social media advertising – Adobe advantageous
- Canva proficiency
- Proficient in Social Media – Mainly Facebook and Instagram, some TikTok, and able to grow LinkedIn
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and consumer behaviour.
- Ability to gather large amounts of data and convert it into meaningful analysis.
- Solid organisational skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and to work well both independently, and in a team.
- Excellent content creation skills and able to make digital content
- Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Good command of the English language
- Ability to simplify complex information into a user-friendly format.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop and web editing packages (WooCommerce), as well as experience with MailChimp and Facebook Advertising.
- Own reliable transport.
- Residing in Cape Town’s southern suburbs – preferred.
