We have a wonderful on-site opportunity for an experienced, Mid-Senior UX/UI Designer to join the in-house studio at a global logistics company headquartered in Cape Town. We’re looking for a Designer with a solid understanding of, and background in UX/UI.
This exciting role calls for a creative and analytical thinker with a passion for crafting intuitive digital experiences. You’ll play a key role in shaping the user journey of a mobile payment application, ensuring it’s not only functional but beautifully designed and user-friendly.

Responsibilities
- Creating user-centric designs by understanding business requirements, user feedback and technology limitations for a mobile payment application
- Breaking any design problem down into viable actionable chunks and solving them with clarity and precision
- Translating design requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces.
- Composing designs of reusable components and UI elements.
- Delivering illustrated designs and process flows using Adobe XD.
- Collaborating effectively with the product team and development team and working closely with them.
- Staying up to date on UX trends and looking for creative ideas and inspiration from new trends and events.
- Participating in client research with the Business Development team.
- Performing other design related tasks as assigned
- Design emailers in both light mode & dark mode.
- Design engaging and responsive web pages and HTML emails for the company
- Work closely with the rest of the marketing team to conduct tests and maximise web performance
- Optimise websites for maximum speed and scalability whilst ensuring website function and stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile and tablet

- Manage day-to-day website updates as the business requires
- Ensure that all designs, pages, sites, and emails adhere to company brand guidelines, always acting as brand champion.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interactive Design, New Media Design or related Design field – preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a UI/UX Designer
- Excellent knowledge of Android and iOS components and UI related aspects of programming frameworks
- Two or more years of user experience design experience for mobile application, desktop software and Web applications including converting the designs to actual implementation
- Strong working knowledge of prototyping and related design tools
- A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centric design methodologies is a must
- Understanding of common software development practices
- Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS
- Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good time management skills
- Team player.
