We have an exciting in-house, on-site opportunity for a talented Mid-Weight Digital Designer to join the hands-on creative team at a growing Digital creative agency in Cape Town.
We’re looking for a Digital Designer/Art Director with 5+ years of experience and a strong understanding of Digital Design, a great eye for layout and typography, and the ability to execute ideas across multiple platforms.
You’ll be designing for digital campaigns, brand assets, motion-based content, and social media, working closely with writers, strategists, and creative leads to deliver high-quality, visually compelling work. This is a hands-on role for a designer who understands craft and execution while ensuring work is optimised for digital environments.

Responsibilities
- Design for digital campaigns – Create engaging visuals for social media, digital ads, web, and motion graphics-based content.
- Develop brand assets – Produce high-quality branding, UI visuals, and marketing materials that align with creative direction.
- Bring ideas to life – Collaborate with the creative team to execute strong conceptual designs that enhance storytelling and campaign effectiveness.
- Ensure design consistency – Maintain brand identity across multiple digital touchpoints while bringing fresh ideas to execution.
- Collaborate across teams – Work closely with motion designers, animators, art directors, and content teams to create high-quality digital content.
- Optimise for digital platforms – Adapt designs for different screen sizes, resolutions, and platform requirements.
- Stay current – Keep up with emerging digital trends, platform best practices, and evolving design techniques.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Relevant Visual Communications qualification
- 5+ years of experience as a Digital Designer in an agency or creative studio.
- A strong portfolio showcasing digital work, including social content, campaign assets, web visuals, and motion-based design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma.
- A strong eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Experience working with motion-based content or collaborating with animators.
- Ability to work independently while being highly collaborative with creative teams.
- Bonus: Experience in basic animation, UI/UX, or interactive design.
