We have an amazing on-site opportunity for a talented Mid-weight Motion Designer to work at an established, independent creative studio near Cape Town’s city centre.
We are looking for a talented and versatile Designer with proficiency in video editing to join this agency’s creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for motion graphics, with the ability to conceptualise and produce compelling visual content for a variety of projects.

Responsibilities
- Conceptualise and design visual assets for digital media, branding materials, and promotional campaigns.
- Edit and produce high-quality video content, including motion graphics, animations, and video montages, using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives and translate them into visually appealing designs and videos.
- Work closely with the creative team to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and execute designs that effectively communicate key messages.
- Maintain brand consistency and adhere to design guidelines across all projects.
- Stay current with design and video editing trends, techniques, and technologies, and incorporate new ideas and approaches into our creative process.
- Juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Assist with other design-related tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Film Production, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in Graphic Design and Video Editing, preferably in an agency or in-house creative department.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Strong design skills, with a keen eye for typography, layout, and composition.
- Experience creating motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for video content.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, take direction well, and incorporate feedback into design revisions.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts effectively.
- Portfolio showcasing a range of design work and video editing projects.
