From numbers to narratives. We have a terrific opportunity for a Senior Marketing Coordinator (mid-senior level) with financial services industry experience to join the team at a up-and-coming financial services company based in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs.
The role will see you managing Events, Digital Marketing, Content and more. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent project management skills for this hands-on, diverse operational role reporting to the head of marketing.
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies and campaigns to support the growth of the organisation within the financial services sector. The role involves overseeing one parent brand and two additional sub-brands.

Note: The successful candidate will be required to work from the office five days a week during their probation period. Upon successful completion, they will transition to the company’s hybrid working model, which requires staff to attend the office three days per week.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Execute marketing strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and brand development.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
- Manage the annual marketing budget and report on ROI.
Event Management
- Plan, organise, and deliver client and industry events (seminars, roundtables, webinars, and networking sessions) that enhance brand visibility and support business development.
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, supplier coordination, delegate communications, and post-event follow-up.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure events align with business objectives and comply with financial services regulations.
- Monitor event budgets, measure ROI, and gather attendee feedback to continuously improve event effectiveness.
Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Manage SEO, PPC, email marketing, and paid social campaigns, tracking performance through analytics tools.
- Oversee website content and user experience to optimise client engagement.
- Report on marketing effectiveness using KPIs, dashboards, and insights to inform decision-making.
Brand & Communications
- Ensure all communications are consistent with brand guidelines and compliant with financial regulations (FCA or relevant body).
- Support thought leadership initiatives, including white papers, webinars, and events.
- Oversee content development for websites, newsletters, social media, and client communications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with product and sales teams to create targeted initiatives and content that support business development.
Supplier Management
- Liaise with external agencies as required.
- Analyse and track the success of current suppliers
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop a marketing assistant
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including compliance, product, and sales teams.
- Manage external suppliers, agencies, and partners.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Years of experience: 3 – 5 years industry, of which 2 must be in a managerial role.
- Experience in Marketing within the Financial Services industry (banking, insurance, wealth management, fintech, or similar).
- Proficiency with Digital Marketing tools (Google Analytics, CRM platforms, HubSpot, marketing automation software).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into client-friendly language.
- Excellent project management, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience managing budgets and reporting on marketing ROI.
- People management experience (desirable).
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Integrity and commitment to maintaining compliance standards.
