Social Media magicians – look sharp, because here’s a hybrid opportunity that slays! We’re on the hunt for a Junior – Mid Social Media Specialist with a strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and platform expertise to join the team at an integrated creative agency in Cape Town.
 
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes the rhythm of social – a hybrid thinker who can manage multiple platforms, run with community management, deliver insightful reporting, and confidently handle paid campaigns across Meta. So, hands-on experience with both organic and paid is a must.
 
The role includes working across several clients at once, including premium alcohol brands, so agility and strong organisational skills are key.

Responsibilities
 
Building Communities
    • Post, manage & monitor our content, fostering engagement with your perfectly witty and thoughtful replies.
    • Identify cultural and platform-specific trends to inform creative direction and posting cadence. Be our “Youth Liaison” and keep us plugged in to trends & culture!
    • Deliver monthly social insights and trend reports that translate data into actionable recommendations.
 
Content & Community
    • Engage in active community management – monitoring conversations, responding to followers, and nurturing brand sentiment.
    • Collaborate with creative and account teams to evolve storytelling and drive engagement through insight-led content.
 
Performance, Reporting & Optimisation
    • Set up, monitor, and optimise paid campaigns across Meta Suite, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
    • Define audiences, recommend boosting strategies, and track performance against KPIs.
    • Interpret platform analytics and prepare clear monthly reports that highlight performance trends, audience behaviour, and actionable insights.
    • Use data to refine strategy, guide content decisions, and demonstrate tangible impact across all social channels.
 
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
 
Essential
    • Industry relevant qualifications
    • 3+ years’ experience managing social media for brands or agencies.
    • Deep understanding of Meta Suite, TikTok, and LinkedIn – both organic and paid.
    • Strong ability to interpret data and turn metrics into meaningful insight.
    • Proven track record in compiling monthly social performance reports with clear commentary and recommendations.
    • Passion for digital culture, behavioural trends, and storytelling that connects emotionally.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
 
Bonus
    • Experience managing premium or lifestyle brands (wine, liquor, automotive, or similar).
    • Familiarity with audience psychology, neuro-marketing, or behaviourally driven comms.
    • Comfort working in a hybrid creative-strategic environment.
