We have a fabulous Cape Town opportunity for a Mid – Senior DTP Finished Artist/Finished Art Specialist at the in-house agency of some of South Africa’s most iconic hospitality brands.
We are looking for a skilled, meticulous, and technical FA Specialist with a deep understanding of Finished Art, Visual Communication, Digital, Printing and Production processes. The role requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take creative work to finished pre-press and digital states.
As DTP Finished Artist, you’ll be responsible for translating a brief to art files ready to go to print or be placed online. The successful candidate will further provide a supportive role and work closely with the creative and brand teams to produce work across all brand requirements.

Responsibilities
- Prepare digital files suitable for proofing and printing, check preliminary and final proofs for errors and make necessary corrections.
- Edit graphics and photos using editing software.
- Digital Finished Art capabilities. Preparing and finalising assets for Digital Asset Management Tool (AssetHub) uploads, social media, and other digital media requirements.
- Create/convert various types of files for printing or for other media using computer software.
- Ensure that all material is appropriately archived and is easily retrievable.
- Implement projects from concept through to completion by planning effectively.
- Ensure a quality product that achieves the desired message as well as meeting all the technical specifications is delivered.
- Be able to work across print and digital platforms.
- Stay up to date with software and tools to continuously improve the quality of outputs.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Graphic Design Degree/Diploma or equivalent
- Min 3 – 5 years’ experience as a DTP/finished artist design/advertising/retail print and digital industry.
- Fluency in current graphic design practices and software, such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, After Effects etc.
- Fluent in print production and finished art.
- Web/Digital knowledge is highly advantageous.
- Strong production skills, including knowledge and ability to provide solutions within the constraints of print and digital.
- Understanding of, and experience in, corporate identity management and branding, layout, colour theory and typography in both print and digital media.
- Use conceptual and analytical skills to interpret verbal or written briefs and make excellent production decisions.
- Communicate effectively and accurately, both orally and in writing, to a wide range of internal and external clients.
- Work flexibly with both internal and external clients by being approachable, listening carefully, informing fully and being patient.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients by being committed to their needs (Teamwork is essential).
