National Field Sales Coordinator: Data Analyst: Edgy, Global FMCG Brand – Johannesburg

We have a sterling, on-site opportunity for a Mid-weight National Field Sales Coordinator: Data Analyst at an edgy, global FMCG brand’s Johannesburg office in the northern suburbs.

This exciting role will see you driving productivity on behalf of the Field Sales team, through effective KPI management, reporting, innovation and delivery of productivity initiatives and client engagement programmes.

The National Field Sales Coordinator: Data Analyst is required to take ownership of the brand’s Perfect Store Audits, from design to implementation. You will be tasked with the coordinating of campaign P.O.S. as well as incentive management & reporting to enable the brand to gain better ‘perfect store’ standards within the off-premise channels.

The successful candidate will manage external partners that are responsible for the execution of the brand’s independent channel. We’re looking for a passionate individual who keeps up to date with continuous innovation on tools and app related reporting.

This role is responsible for the Coordination and Development of field priorities and strategies as well as the training management of the company’s full sales team. This also includes Budget Management of all Free Goods accounts and the analysing of Trade data to encourage team engagement and productivity.

  • PSA (Perfect Store Audit) – Owning reporting on Key Store Metrics.
  • All Trade Reporting – All execution-based reporting that include: Store surveys, coolers, displays etc.


  • Setting up of quarterly KPIs.
  • Manage weekly summary reports.
  • Create efficiencies with KPIs.
  • Incentive management.


  • Manage all training needs by the team.


  • Partnership Management – Engage with key trade partners to drive optimal performance.
  • External Partner Lead – Agency Management element (reporting, performance KPIs) etc.


  • POS management.
  • Free goods usage.


The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Higher commercial Degree/ University Degree (Business, Marketing or similar)
  • ±5 years’ experience in the FMCG sector
  • Formal Excel Training/advanced experience – a must
  • Power BI and SAPS – a must
  • Analytical skills – sees connections in data and translates them into meaningful sales/ productivity initiatives
  • 1 year+ experience as field sales rep/striker or within front line selling
  • Competent IT skills, especially of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Ability to manage a varied and complex agenda on a daily basis and a passion to deliver against tight deadlines
  • Generates innovative ideas, fresh perspectives and creative solutions that add value
  • Gives constructive, actionable feedback to help people improve their performance
  • Fluent in written & spoken English- EDV (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and experience with Field Force automation
  • Self-driven and ability to work on your own
  • Fluency in English (verbal & written)
  • Travel 0-10%.
